Boilers require valves that endure prolonged exposure to ultra-high temperature and high-pressure steam, necessitating valve bodies made of heat-resistant alloy steel and sealing surfaces capable of withstanding erosion and abrasion to counteract continuous wear from high-speed steam. Steam-water system valves prioritize tight sealing to prevent steam leakage and energy loss. Safety valves and relief valves, as protective components, must rapidly discharge pressure when system limits are exceeded to mitigate explosion risks from overpressure. Additionally, most power plant equipment operates continuously year-round, demanding valves with high long-term maintenance-free performance to minimize shutdowns for repairs.

　　In the manufacturing process of power plant valves, material flaw detection, sealing surface machining, and pressure strength testing are all indispensable. The valve body castings must undergo inspection for internal defects such as cracks and pores, while the sealing surfaces are treated with hardening processes to enhance erosion resistance. Finished products require multiple tests, including hydrostatic strength, air tightness, and opening/closing life cycles, and can only be put into project use if all indicators meet the standards. During selection, strict matching of system pressure, temperature, and medium parameters is essential, and downgrading to ordinary industrial valves instead of power plant-specific valves is not allowed.

For sealing parts frequently subjected to erosion, periodic sealing tests should be conducted. When repairing or replacing components, it is mandatory to use station-grade parts of the same specifications.
